This was the under 16s first home game, played on the first team pitch allowing spectators an excellent view from the new balcony.

When the game got under way Park immediately kicked for touch 5 meters out. The line out work superbly, Jonathan Cairns gathered the ball cleanly and from there a catch and drive developed. The ball was played back to Brad Davis who pushed over for 5 points.(MC). The second came from good work by the forwards securing the ball. It was the fed out along the line to Jack Davidson on the wing, he used his turn of pace to make it 10-0(MC). From here Gosforth picked up the pace and could of scored in the corner but unfortunately the ball was knocked on. However, they did get their reward when Park gave away a penalty and fell asleep. Gosforth took full advantage and made the score 10-5. Park then responded and were awarded a penalty, which we elected to kick but the ball fell just short so the score remained 10-5. Park then added another try when Jack Davidson played out to Jack Dent, he cut outside then back in and passed off to Hugh Dunn to come through on the wing to score and make it 15-5 the extras where added by Jack Jeffrey to make it 17-5 at half time.

In the second half Park picked up from where they left off. From a scrum the ball was picked up by Liam McStay who powered past numerous players to score and the conversion was made by Jack Jeffrey to make it 24-5. The final try came in the far corner when from some good interplay Alex Littlefield collected the ball and went over to make the final score 29-5.

Park played some good rugby on the day, defensively were a bit slack at times but got away with it. Gosforth played really well; they had a lot of new players and some younger lads and played some nice passing rugby at times. The score did not reflect their contribution to this excellent game played in good spirits
